I’ve never been one for resolutions. The way I see it, you shouldn’t have to wait until New Year’s Day to make a resolution for change in your life. Yet, I found myself waking up this morning and wanting to make a list of things I’d like to achieve in the coming year. Maybe its the fact that 2010 marks 10 years since I’ve graduated high school, which proves just how quickly life goes by, or maybe its simply the promise of a better tomorrow by striving for more today. In either case, here’s some of the ways I hope to better my personal life.
One: Disconnect and Reconnect More
I hope to set better limits on the time I spend on my business. I hope to disconnect from the computers and iphones a bit earlier each day and connect more with my husband, family and friends. Having success in my business means nothing if I don’t have loved ones to share it with. Strengthening the bonds with the ones I love sounds so much more fulfilling than any business transaction could ever be.
Two: Eat Healthier and Exercise More
I know, I know, this seems to be everyone’s resolution at least one year in their life. No strict guidelines here but I hope in the next year to find a better physical being through a healthier diet and more regular exercise. I hope to add more organic, locally grown food and decrease the amount of processed food in the pantry.
Three: Just be myself
Over the last few years life has taken hold and I’ve found myself worrying a bit to much about it. I need to take my life back and stop riding on its crazy tilt-a-whirl. I hope to accept the anxiety that life sometimes brings and learn to let it go so the real me can shine through each and every day.
Four: Find God again
Somehow while getting caught up in the downers of life, I lost my faith in God (just a little bit). I realize now that God has a special plan for each of us and that the journey I’ve taken has all been a part of that plan. Although sometimes I’m a skeptic about how much I can really handle, I know that God doesn’t hand us anything that he doesn’t believe we can deal with and find success and contentment through. I hope to reconnect with him and be thankful for his love and guidance in my life.
Five: Seeing Success within Each Day
Even the smallest accomplishments in the day are worth noticing and celebrating. This year I hope to take notice of them and look back throughout the year to appreciate them. I believe that through small accomplishments each day, I will find that they add up to great successes in the end.
I have so many hopes and dreams for my business this year. All which I hope you’ll be a part of throughout the year. I think my first goal this year is to connect more with my clients and my readers. I hope to find more of myself throughout my blog this year as well as more of all of you! So to start 2010’s first post of right, do you have any personal resolutions set for 2010? Please share them below!
And here’s to the little man who makes me smile every single day.
